Today’s post is a really nice podcast discussion between one ICECReamer. Her name is Luciana Macedo. Lu is originally from Brazil, she did her masters in Alberta (Canada), her PhD in Sydney and now she is happily living back in Canada doing her post doc with pretty smart researchers over there.
Luciana’s PhD topic was about motor control and graded activity/graded exposure exercises for patients with chronic low back pain. She published a series of studies on this, including a randomised controlled trial that was recently published in Physical Therapy (paper can be found here: http://ptjournal.apta.org/content/92/3/363.abstract). The editors of Physical Therapy invited Luciana and Nadine Foster (a senior bright researcher from UK) to discuss the results and implications from her trial on a really interesting podcast. Don’t miss out!
